China private manufacturing PMI still to come, recap of the official PMI while we wait

We"ve had the official PMIs for China for October:

• China Manufacturing PMI: 51.2 (vs. 50.3 expected)


• China Services PMI 54.0 (prior 53.7)

Caixin manufacturing PMI is due at 0145GMT (just a few minutes time):

• expected 50.1, prior 50.1

Bloomberg have a recap of the official data up on the web:

• China"s official factory gauge rose ...  suggesting the economy"s stabilization continued into the fourth quarter as robust consumption underpins demand


• "This might be as good as it gets," said Frederic Neumann, co-head of Asian economic research at HSBC Holdings Plc in Hong Kong. "A generous stimulus injected earlier this year is still winding itself through the economy. However, with the government tapping the brakes of late in the property sector, growth will likely cool again in the coming months."
