US crude oil futures settle at $45.34 per barrel

Down a $1.33 on the day

Crude oil futures close a day at $45.34. This was down $1.33 or 2.85%. 

The low extended to $44.96,, while the high reached $46.47. The fall today was helped by a huge increase in crude oil inventories (up 14420K vs 2000K estimate).
