New Zealand Q4 2 year inflation expectations: 1.68% (prior 1.65%)

This is  Inflation Expectations data from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand

• 1 year expectations at 1.29% (prior survey was at 1.26%)


• 2 year at 1.68% (prior survey was at 1.65%) (ps. On the 2 year, this is the timeframe when RBNZ policy action is assessed to filter through to prices, hence the "headline" focus)

For the 1 year and 2 years, both edging higher through the course of this year:

There is an Reserve Bank of New Zealand  meeting next week (10 November local time), this higher inflation expectations data (admittedly not by much, but its something to cheer the RBNZ at least) will be a factor arguing against a rate cut. Whether its enough, though ????
