Pending home sales and Fed speakers on the economic calendar

A look at the US economic calendar

Brexit has finally started and that"s what is dominating headlines at the moment but it"s not the only thing going on.

Generally, the US economic calendar is light but there are some highlights.

Economic data is limited to pending home sales for February. The consensus is a +2.5% reading after a 2.8% in January. The data is due at 10 am ET (1400 GMT) and it"s not likely to be a market mover.

Fedspeak on the day starts with Evans at 9:20 am ET (1320 GMT). He"s been very talkative lately so I wouldn"t expect to hear anything market-moving or now.

The one to watch is the Fed"s Rosengren. Bloomberg TV was advertising earlier in the week that he will make an appearance so we"ll be on the lookout for that. He"s also speaking at the economic club of Boston at 1530 GMT (11:30 am ET).

The Fed"s Williams is also on the calendar at 1715 GMT (1:15 pm ET).

Other highlights include a seven-year Treasury auction and weekly oil inventory data. For more, check the economic calendar.
