Iran wanted to get to pre-sanction levels of around 4mbpd, so that"s not too far off. According to recent numbers they were pumping at around the 3.65mbpd mark.

Of course, the term "around 3.92m" in OPEC speak, is a quote that makes it wide enough that you could drive a bus through, as we used to say on the floor.

The sources add that Iran is yet to respond to the OPEC offer.

Brent is isn"t doing much on the headlines and trades at 46.12.
