• A net balance of 37pc of UK firms expect business prospects to improve


• The strongest figure since the referendum in June


• Firms also expect the wider economy to improve, with 47pc upbeat about the economy and only 13pc taking a negative view, leaving a net balance of 34pc which are optimistic about the country"s direction
