Chicago PMI revised/corrected to 59.4 from 55.2 earlier today

Chicago PMI corrected

Well this is a mess. The Chicago PMI was released at 55.2 compared to 57.0 earlier today.

Now, it"s been re-released and is at 59.4.

The initial report weighed on the US dollar and it"s kicked higher -- at least USD/JPY has -- on the correction.

It"s the best reading since November 2014. here"s how the picture looks now:

 The employment component corrected to 57.1 from 53.7.
